Our church’s trip to the County Line Orchard and the Albanese Candy Factory Outlet will be Saturday, September 9, from 9am to 4pm.
Information is in the flyer. This is a great way to spend a day with family and friends.
This was our “Back 2 School Bingo Bonanza” celebration on August 6th, 2023. We invited students from the community to come and celebrate the end of the summer and the start of the new school year. This celebration was filled with food, games, prizes, arts and crafts, puzzles, educational activities, balloon animals, raffles, as well as, free backpacks and school supplies for every student. Everyone joined in the fun as students and parents completed fun activities on their student’s Bingo cards. We had an awesome day!! We can’t wait until next year and invite you to join us next time!!!
By the way: When we checked we had 33 children and youth at our event.

As summer approaches its end, we’re starting to have some fun linking up Sunday morning worship with Friday evening fun. It is the annual “Message in the Movies” sermon series. And that means that Friday night is Movie Night at United.
We’ll gather together in the parking lot at 7 pm. Bring your chairs and any tailgate comforts. Snacks will be there. And as the evening starts to daren, we will have a chance for family fun with a movie. The community is absolutely invited, so bring along anyone you think needs to have a fun evening!
Then on Sunday morning, Pastor King will preach a sermon built around what we watched in the movie. The gospel can be found in some strange places!
So join us on Fridays (beginning August 11) and on Sundays (beginning August 13) for fun, refreshment, fellowship, and faith.
Every two years (barring a pandemic!) the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) throws a big party. And you are invited to attend even without leaving your home.
We are always delighted when people come to worship in person with us. But unfortunately, we will not be here in the building on Sunday, July 30.
Our worship service will still take place at the regular 10:30 am hour. However, the service will be entirely virtual. You can find it on our Facebook or YouTube channels, or you can click to it from our media page.
Pastor King and Jackie will be in Louisville, attending the General Assembly of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Other members of the staff will also be out of town.
Again, there will be no service in the building on July 30. But we will be online at our regular time.
As summer begins to wind down, we prepare for school to start once again. Once again our church will offer a backpack ministry at our Back to School Picnic, Sunday, August 6, following worship. ADULTS–if you are not meeting the students we help and serve, you are missing out! Stick around, share a meal, take part in the games, and be a model of love and mission for a new generation. Sometimes blessings show up in the simplest of gifts. Come share with us as we move to a new school year.
Vacation Bible School for 2023 is in the history books. We had fun with our theme, “At One with God’s Creation,” because it gave us a chance to do so much outdoors study and play. 24 children and youth took part through the week. Here’s a brief photo reminder of the event.
